Ethan opened his eyes once more and his gaze penetrated through her with such heat she was certain he could sense what she had been thinking about.
"Madison." It was a low predatory growl, and there was a fierce hunger in his expression that made the hairs prick on the back of her neck while at the same time her body shivered in feminine anticipation.
He was utterly and overwhelmingly the hunter descending on his prey.
She didn't answer, she couldn't, and the trembling in her body threatened to send her to her knees.
It had been so long since she'd actually been with anyone in that way. She couldn't even remember the last time she'd been kissed.
As if reading her mind, his gaze dropped to her mouth and the hunger she saw there made her body ache for his touch.
She desperately wanted to reach out and pull him to her as she had in the dreams. Yet she knew she was reacting to the memory of things that had never even happened.
As real as those dreams had seemed, she knew that they were just dreams.
