Cassie knows that she isn’t the prettiest girl in the world. Sure, she had bright blonde hair and dazzling blue eyes, which she had always been secretly proud of, but she’s pretty sure that’s all she had going for herself.
That is until she met Lee in middle school. It was at an after party for him after a football game and between his green eyes, which seemed fiercely alive and his messy brown hair, she found herself falling for him.
It isn’t until they got to college however that Lee’s real personality starts to shine, but it’s already too late for Cassie who had made an arrangement with him that she knows she can’t go back on.
She finds herself stuck in a world where she knows that she can do better, but she is powerless to try, as her entire future hangs in the balance. That is, until she starts to notice Jamie.
Jamie is everything that Lee isn’t and when he defends her, she realizes that perhaps there is more to life than always keeping your promises. When Lee creates a plan that will bring Jamie to his knees, Cassie finds herself with a choice, she can either carry on with the way things are, or she can stand up for what’s right and take a chance on something new.
