Lonely Rivers Flow by Linda J. French
Julia Smith has returned to Cerulean Bay as manager of the Bay Hotel. On her first day, she meets up with an old school chum, Wendy Callahan, at Wendy's bakery, Life of Pie. She's also introduced to the handsome single dad, Mick Sampson. Things are looking up until she's told by her new corporate boss that she must fire everyone. This just isn't the way Julia works. While contemplating her dilemma, she meets one of the guests, Agnes (Sully) Sullivan who's in town to visit her stepbrother, who happens to be Mick. Sully's had a run of bad luck, starting with something she has in common with Julia, a cheating husband, as well as being rearended coming into town by an arrogant jerk, Jim Duffield, who happens to be the new owner of the Bay Hotel. She's determined to start a new life in Cerulean Bay, but she keeps getting blindsided by people who seem to think because she drives an expensive car and wears expensive clothes that she's a spoiled little rich girl. Nothing could be further from the truth.
