Morning Star by Marisol Logan
Rose Easton, the oldest daughter of an upper-class noble family in Great Britain, is betrothed to a wealthy, young Duke named Thomas. Thomas is the soon-to-be-mayor of a new British settlement in the Caribbean, and the two set sail for their new home where they will be married.

In transit to their new home, their ship is attacked by pirates--but not just any pirates: the infamous "Captain Hell" and his ship, known as the Morning Star. The crew of the Morning Star have specific instructions...capture any nobility who can be held for ransom, and Rose and Thomas are the only ones who fit the bill.

Prisoners on the pirate vessel, they finally meet the infamous captain, but he's nothing like Rose expected. Captain Elling Graves is young, speaks proper English, and is relatively well groomed, for a pirate--and he's immediately soft on Rose, demanding she receive the best treatment possible from the crew.

What consequences will his treatment of her have on a ship full of greedy, ruthless pirates? And how will it affect Rose's relationship with her future husband?
