It was the first time in years my hotel's expected earnings for the quarter fell short. As a result, my boss, Hotel Lux's owner, Michael Bender, sent me to a weekend workshop at a luxury resort, to learn what good customer service should be like. As his right hand woman and the General Manager for Hotel Lux, I had to learn everything.

From a taskmaster from hell...the impeccable, gentlemanly brute in the Armani suit and John Lobb shoes, Archibald Granite, who hails from England, ran many 5 Diamond Luxury Resorts, and even hosts a television show where he "fixes" up failing hotels while fixing up the people who ran the hotels. Now he was laser-focused on me...fixing up Hotel Lux And me.

He is harsh. He is rough. He is a bully. But everyone says his method works magic. I call Bull. So now he has made me his target and example of what not to do if you want to succeed.

It's battle on...but somehow during the battle...I couldn't help dreaming about this brute and what could happen when we really let go....
