Another satire, this time involving small town life in America. Carol Milford, a liberal, woman from Minnesota, marries a doctor and they move to Gopher Prairie. Carol has trouble adjusting to her new life in this quiet part of America.

About The Author
American writer Harry Sinclair Lewis (1885 – 1951) was wrote short stories, plays and books. He was the first American to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature "for his vigorous and graphic art of description and his ability to create, with wit and humor, new types of characters."
