At twenty-three, Karah is a trained spy, assassin, and warrior all in one. Originally from the warrior tribe of the Canvasi--one of four warrior tribes---she is a servant of the king's military. Now, she is reinstated on a new mission by the king's son to infiltrate a dangerous people as a simple transfer student. However, Karah has one problem. She has fallen into a forbidden romance that will set her on revolt not just for herself, but for the future of her people. Only, she will find that a secret romance can be even more treacherous than any mission she has embarked upon, and that in the face of love and spies, all matters of ambush are fair.
