Benita’s Dream: A Christian Workplace Romance Novel by Emily Josephine
Her deepest desire looks like an impossibility…unless she dares to break down the walls she’s built around her heart, which may be an even greater challenge.

He yearns for a lifelong partner and a mother for his sweet daughter, but doesn’t know if he can ever love again.

Then her bitter enemy comes along, appearing to have changed for the better, but appearances can not only be deceiving, but also bring chaos and devastation…
**********
When Miguel Manriquez lost his wife during the birth of their only child, Diana, he thought he’d lost everything. Now, seven years later, with time and the Lord having healed his wounds, he is feeling the acute need for companionship, and an even greater need to provide a mother for his daughter. But he doesn’t know if he can ever love another woman as he loved his deceased wife.

Benita Herrera loves children, but her heart is far away from God as she still struggles with a four-year-old tragic event in which her then-husband, Juan, destroyed her only life dream in one fell swoop. When she meets Miguel and Diana, she is at once attracted to their caring hearts and repelled by the faith that they seem to wear like a badge. Despite her unbelief, she can’t help feeling more and more drawn to them, especially after she finds herself involved with a cruel revenge against Miguel in which Diana is used as the pawn.

But Benita cannot let herself be distracted. First, life has taught her that no man can be trusted, because they all eventually show their hard, cold, hurtful ways. Second, there is only one way to fulfill her dream now, and she must stay laser-focused on it – she believes, to the exclusion of developing another relationship with a man.

Trying to keep her life simple and safe, she does her best to keep Miguel shut out of it. But when Juan waltzes back into her life, begging for reconciliation for some reason she cannot fathom, her life nevertheless becomes complicated. With two men pressing for her attention, she needs to make a decision that will impact her life in irrevocable ways. She needs to decide which is the greater opening her heart to real love, or living in loneliness. Neither choice will guarantee that her dreams will come true…
