Harper is a corporate consultant and accepts a job in Dallas, Texas, with Parker Oil and Gas. She immediately realizes that she’s very out of place with her laid-back California style. Life goes from bad to worse for Harper when she mistakes the company’s vice president as her assistant.
Despite their horrible start, Harper grows feelings for J.P. while attending a company hunt at the Parker Family Ranch. She quickly realizes that J.P. isn’t the egomaniac she thinks he is. As the two grow closer, he wants more.
