When a shipment of weapons goes missing on a remote mining colony, Agent Boyd of Naval Intelligence is sent to assess the situation. After uncovering a plot to seize control of the planet, he tries to make his escape, but his ship is shot down over an inhospitable ice moon. Stranded with scarce supplies and only his survival suit at his disposal, he must brave the frozen tundra and find a way back to civilization. Accompanying him is Lorza, an alien civilian who has become entangled in his mission. Their relationship is off to a rocky start, as she blames him for her current predicament, but they must overcome their differences if they wish to survive the harsh environment. Either they learn to work together, or die alone.
