Most days are routine working Harbor Patrol in Newport Beach. What started off as a routine shift quickly became anything but. A ghost ship was reported floating off the coast.
All of Eva’s deputies were busy on calls. This one was hers. It’s not the first time a boat came loose from a mooring and floated out of the harbor.
As she approached the boat, it looked abandoned. She followed procedures before she boarded.
Cal couldn’t believe it. He fired a kill shot, but the guy died too slowly. The guy got a shot off, and now there was a bullet in his shoulder. Shot by a dead man. Yeah, not his best day.
His day got worse. A local law enforcement officer just boarded the boat. They have no idea what they are walking into.
His luck turned when he saw that there was only one officer. He hid until just the right moment.
The cargo on the boat is the key to stopping a war between mobs across the country. When it disappears, unlikely bonds are formed to retrieve the cargo… the girl.
Corruption and deception keep the team guessing. When dealing with the mob, nobody can be trusted. One wrong move could end their lives. The answer is simple—don’t make a wrong move.
