A man leaned against a log with his bare feet crossed at the ankles on the opposite side. Gray pants clung to his impressive physique, but his shirt lay on the rock beside him. Dark eyes flicked her way as a wicked grin spread across his pale, but handsome, face. Sharp, white fangs barely grazed the bottom of his lips, but she wasn’t afraid. “Welcome back, my lady.”
“Alexander Grant.” She frowned, returning her gaze to the bright stars overhead. “I’m dead, and you’re the grim reaper sent to collect my soul? Right? I knew there was something different about you.”
His husky, low chuckle filled the space between them. “Not quite.”
