When you pour your heart and soul into running a small exotic plant nursery in the middle of Brooklyn, you tend to get used to long hours and lonely nights. You can expect a few things when tending to antique books. There will be damage. There will be a certain scent. There might even been something illicite written inside, but usually you don't accidently summon a demon while doing inventory!
I'm a smart woman, surely I can get out of this contract without losing my soul, though I have to admit, what he's offering in return is very tempting. Maybe one free taste won't hurt...
