I Was His Karma by Taya
Once fierce and flashy, a setback forces Gemini to humble herself and change her ways. Now, her only goals in life are to make money legally and get her father off drugs. But achieving these goals is easier said than done. She meets Christian and decides to step out of her comfort zone to give him a chance, unaware that he holds a secret that could jeopardize her new life and threaten to pull her back into her old one.

Despite seeing firsthand the devastating effects of drugs, Smoke still dreams of becoming the biggest dealer in Minnesota. The only thing stopping him is finding a connect with pure product. As the Head Honcho, he views everyone as a resource. He uses his little brother Christian as a front, his little brother’s babymama as a wrangler, and thinks he can have Gemini as a trophy. But little does he know, she might complicate things and put him in a situation that won’t end well for any of them. He must right his wrongs before it’s too late.

Christian, the little brother, just wants to live a simple life. But everyone expects him to be his brother’s keeper. His baby mama Kalisha demands the world from him, yet all he wants is to be free of her for good. His chance might come sooner than he thinks, but the cost may be higher than he’s willing to pay. Only then will he realize how far is too far.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Knowing she’s losing her grip, Kalisha quickly formulates a plan to keep Christian in her life. However, in her efforts to keep him satisfied, she makes a misstep that threatens her position. She can't afford to lose the throne she thought she had secured.

If you knew better, you’d do better. Knowing better might have meant leaving that girl alone.
