Heart of Ash

Things have always been a little strange in New York City–if you know where to look. Indie has been living alongside the magical and the ethereal all her life, but one day she notices a woman watching her on the street who is strange even by the city’s standards. When they keep crossing paths, Indie takes it upon herself to do some research on this mysterious stranger.

When her research uncovers that her enigmatic admirer is the Lady of the Underworld, who escorts the dead to their final resting place, it brings up more questions than it answers. And when Indie is attacked by shadowy creatures on the subway and then subsequently rescued by the woman she's been wary of, things take a turn for the otherworldly.

Heart of Ash is a sapphic urban fantasy romance retelling of Hades and Persephone with magic and mythical creatures. It features a strangers-to-lovers romance with a HEA guaranteed.
