Tamera is a 37 year old divorced mom of 18 year old twins. After her divorce she decided she needed a change. She moves to a Canadian resort to work for one of her best friends. She met Sheila many years ago on an online women's support group. It was for women who were going through tough times.

Dax is a famous TV actor of a werewolf TV series. He lives near the resort. The filming of the TV series is also close by where they record the outdoor scenes. The second Dax gets Tamera's scent, he knows she's his mate. Tamera is awe struck at meeting her long time crush of her favorite TV series. She can't believe he would be interested in her. She's overweight and 10 years older than him as well. Dax will have to convince her he is interested and win her over to giving him a chance.

Tamera finds out that Dax is a werewolf after she finds out she's pregnant. She doesn't take either news well. Dax explains that they have to marry to keep the wolf council from imprisoning her! Her son does not take the news of the dating or marriage well. Dax once again has to win Tamera over, and talk her through learning that he is a werewolf, and that she is his mate.

The Alpha of the pack that borders his territory, wants him to mate with his daughter as she wants Dax. And he always gives his daughter her way. The she wolf will stop at nothing to make Dax her mate. Even creating events to get Tamera fired, and setting up events to get her killed. When all else fails thanks to Dax and his pack, she kidnaps Tamera who is pregnant with twins.

Tamera manages to escape, and Dax finds her. Dax petitioned the Wolf Council to intervene. The wolf council issues orders for all involved to be put to death. Luckily the Alpha's son is a good wolf and is willing to clean house and get the pack on track to being a respectable pack, and allies with Dax's pack.

Dax tells Tamera she has to make a choice, stay human and remain weak and a target in his world. Or let him change her, in which as time passes she'll have to leave her human family since werewolves age very slowly and live a very long time. She's torn between choosing the man she loves and her new kids, or her human twins. How could a mother choose between her kids? No good mother could.

Her daughter falls for one of Dax's pack, and she's also his mate. She decides to change her major to nursing, and moves to Canada to finish her nursing degree. But that still leaves her son Bray who will remain human. Dax had a plan to give Tamera everything she wants even if it costs him his Alpha status.

Will they be able to overcome the age difference, her past, his social status, her insecurities, and his big secret of being a real werewolf? And will he be able to keep her safe from the dangers of his world? From the she wolf intent on making Dax hers at any cost? Everyone eventually does get their happily ever after!
