However, after many years of helping around the house, her parents believe it’s time for her to find a husband. In these days, that’s sometimes easier said than done. When she starts contemplating who in Washington D.C. to marry, one name does stand out a Mr. Clark Bradshaw. She works with him, but he’s quite nice.
Until he isn’t, when he proves to be a bad match, she decides it’s time to see what she can do about moving west. There’s only one Mr. Bradshaw is convinced that it is either she marry him or die an old maid. That’s very much not his choice to make.
When she gets ahold of The Matrimonial Times, she feels that she has a better chance, especially when she learns of the ad put out by one Orlando Bateman.
But will she be able to escape Mr. Bradshaw unharmed, or will he follow her out to Washington state as she chases her dreams of a good marriage?
