A Delinquent Dream
Renée Cahl, Blair Satterfield, Esther Kim
Divorce is never easy, but it is especially hard at 19.
Chloe Brown had been in love with the idea of love for as long as she could remember, and she wanted nothing more than to create the kind of happy family she had never known but always dreamed of. Raised by her strict, Bible-thumping grandmother and alienated by her reclusive dad and much-older, often rebellious sister, Chloe grew up precocious in many ways. After a few fizzled relationships, she found the one she believed would be her forever, but the love of her life was hiding something from her, and his secret had the power to crumble both of their carefully constructed lives.
Now, she's starting over, trying to find the light at the end of a delinquent dream with the help of her amazing best friend and the therapist they insisted she start seeing. Hope feels like it is out of reach, but the hurt is still raw, and Chloe is strong. If she can work through the pain and learn to hold on to the moments of joy along the way, maybe her life can begin again.
