I was never supposed to love Kydrick, but his arrest changed everything.
Me, Kydrick, and my ex best friend, Janelle, grew up together. We did everything together, until high school changed everything. They became a couple, and I hid the feelings that had always lingered.
It stayed like that for five grueling years, until our freshman year of college. A party changed the course of all our lives. Actually… a girl did. Annie Taylor. One false accusation from her and the dean’s son, and Kydrick’s future was gone in the blink of an eye.
