Tala is one of the first humans to travel to Killa, a moon in a deep space known as a trading hub for various species. When she lands a job as an assistant for a politician, her dream of helping the human race enter the galactic stage is so close she can taste it. All of that’s turned upside down after Tala meets and DU-096, a mech dock worker. Loving him jeopardizes her goals, can she withstand the prejudices and dangers of this star-crossed love?

DU-096 has an ideal existence. During the day he pretends to be an obedient, shackled mech, while at night he socializes with organic beings and expands his consciousness. With a trigger happy task force targeting rogue mechs, Du’s cautious about who he reveals himself to. That’s until he helps a lost human and develops feelings beyond highest processing capacity. He’s willing to risk it all for Tala, but can he convince her to do the same?
