When Emily Davenport's parents moved their family to a ranch in Big Bear, they told themselves that they are doing it to protect their daughter from her downward spiral into a life of alcohol and drugs. But, they didn't expect her to fall for Christopher - the former ranch-hand with a dark past of his own.

Growing up, Emily always felt like an outsider in her own family. She knew her family loved her but it wasn't enough. Emily craved their attention and finally found a way to get it, even if it would later almost cost her her life. Worried about their daughter, Joe and Marian Davenport, moved Emily and her two older brothers - Ric and Danny - from their home in Palm Springs to Big Bear. As much as Emily was glad for a fresh start, she couldn't help but fall for Christopher. He was kind, compassionate, and sexy as hell.
