their kingdom - the moment we met was a lie: The Alternative Series - Volume 10 by Kari Wiethop
The colorful staff of a hedonistic club attends to the unconventional and sometimes humorous needs of their members while navigating their own friendships, rivalries and romances in this contemporary series.

Sam introduces the second location to Gabe and Vienna while everyone who’s transferring gets settled into their new environment. The Kingdom launch marks the end of Black and Sam’s two-month period alone in the house, thrusting their relationship into communal living waters 24/7.

The couple steals away for one final long weekend alone, during which Black contemplates an alternative, and Trip reveals his ‘secret crush’ to Random. It serves as his initial move to make a play back to the top when Random deems the timing is right. Until then, Trip remains Random’s minion and watches Babe carve out a new look and attitude for her new member relations position.

After taunting Sam with a theory he has about Black, Random opens fire on him by poaching an employee for Becky. Sam’s retaliation move against Random drives a wedge between her and Black. While they’re occupied with that development, Random starts systematically taking down Hannah notch by notch.

Becky revels in her position under Random until the fallout of the employee poaching spurs a begrudged Quinn.

Volume 10 stirs up a whirlwind of confusion about Hannah’s fate at the company, Babe’s misplaced trust, Sam’s misplaced dominance and Trip’s endeavor back to the top.

It’s never too dark and never too light in this forward-moving series of desires, mind games, debauchery and the option to live an offbeat The Alternative.
