Free Use Spa by Ashley Tudor
After an absolutely decadent ninety-minute massage, I was looking forward to nothing more than curling up with a book and a glass of cucumber water in the relaxation room. What I didn’t expect was to be offered a choice between that serene space… and the resort’s new “Free Use” room, where participation was optional but consent was considered a given the moment you stepped inside.

A younger version of me would have scoffed at the idea, insisting she was above anything so uninhibited. But younger me hadn’t been navigating the kind of dry spell that had started to feel like a second personality.

Almost in disbelief at my own bravery, or maybe my desperation, I chose the Free Use room, telling myself I was just going to look. Just to see what kind of “relaxation” other people sought.

The moment I crossed the threshold, a wash of sensual sights and soft, breathy sounds wrapped around me, lighting up nerves I’d forgotten I had. Heat pooled low in my belly, and my pulse quickened with a mix of curiosity and need.

What happened next… well, it didn’t just help me unwind. It rewrote something fundamental inside me, something I hadn’t even realized was waiting to change.
