Pride, Prejudice and Romance: A collection of three Pride and Prejudice Variations by Lory Lilian
Author’s Note! This is a collection of three individual books previously published separately, offered for a limited amount of time. For those who have purchased the previous editions, this collection brings no new content. The collection includes three books with over 450 pages of Elizabeth and Mr Darcy’s romance in various settings, all for the price of a short novella. It is also available in Kindle Unlimited.
Most of the action in all three stories takes place in Hertfordshire, in November - December of 1811, and offers a romantic, feel-good read, suitable for all audiences, to bring warmth to the cold winter days and nights.
The books in this collection
The Benefits of Extensive Reading – a Pride and Prejudice-inspired novel that begins during Elizabeth’s stay at Netherfield, where she is taking care of her sister Jane.
One evening, she finds herself locked in the library with none other than Mr Darcy. Several hours spent together in this awkward situation offer them the chance to talk to one another and to discover more about each other than they have in the entire two months of their previous acquaintance. But what will happen after they are released from this temporary trap? How much will that incident affect their lives?
Ardently Loved – the tale of Elizabeth Bennet falling in love with the only man in the world she could be prevailed on to marry, the man who, in disposition and talents, most suits her and becomes the source of her felicity in marriage and life. The story begins after Lady Catherine’s visit, and readers will follow Elizabeth through the bittersweet experience of learning about her desires, hopes, regrets, and fears, before her long-awaited ‘happily ever after’ and a little bit beyond it…
Most of the book is appropriate for a general audience. The last chapter contains scenes recommended for mature readers only (which can be skipped, if preferred).
A Trifling Cold – A cold is not a matter to trifle with, for it can defeat the strongest of men at the worst moment and in the worst place.
In this romantic and amusing story, the author, who first put Elizabeth and Darcy together in a cottage twenty years ago in her story ‘Rainy Days’, puts them back in a cottage during a storm. Only this time they are not alone but accompanied by Mrs Bennet, Mr Bingley, Jane, Mr Wickham, and several others.
When the ladies are in great danger, who is the one gentleman who can save them and win their gratitude? And what is the price he will have to pay for his generous bravery? What will the Bennets do when they are forced to face more of the Darcy family than they ever expected? At what point will Darcy realise he can stop the battle between his desires and his duty? Will Elizabeth admit that her feelings for Darcy are stronger and more profound than she imagined she would ever feel for a man?
