A Halloween Dream [ROMANTIC COMIC SHORT STORY]
Diany Cardoso
Luna just wanted a quiet Halloween—a couch, some popcorn, and a movie after an exhausting day. What she didn’t expect was to end up rescuing a black cat from an angry broom.
That’s where her peaceful plan falls apart. In the middle of the night, Luna wakes up to find a naked man in her kitchen, eating tuna straight from the can. He swears he is the cat—yes, that cat—and claims he’s been cursed by a vengeful witch.
Between screams, scares, and a lot of meowing, Luna starts to wonder if she’s hallucinating, dreaming… or if love really can appear in the most unexpected forms.
What many would call bad luck, she calls good fortune.
A fortune with whiskers and a very judgmental stare…
A Halloween Dream brings us a heroine with a hero complex and a highly suspicious cat in a light, charming romantic comedy—where coincidences and a touch of chaos can turn the most unlikely night into the beginning of a love story.
Author's
This is an adaptation of the original story written in Portuguese.
It was translated using artificial intelligence and published with great care, although I haven’t personally revised the text — I’m not fluent in English, I only understand enough to follow along.
Still, I chose to share this edition because I believe stories written from the heart can cross borders, even with a few imperfections.
I hope you enjoy the read!
