Henry Martinez has done a decent job of adjusting to life as the only human among millions of aliens; such a fantastic job that he has begun to consider Draun more of his home than he did in the ruins of Los Angeles years earlier.

However, life does not have smooth winds and following seas. His mentor seems to have developed a fondness for him beyond professional boundaries. Henry must navigate this delicate situation, knowing he is as socially adept as a rock and as persistent as any Hull Cracker he has encountered.

As if this wasn't enough, Henry finds himself in a situation he never saw coming—meeting the parents of his alien girlfriend.

Lysa’s mother, Nelya, is kind and caring and has the patience of a saint. Sure, she seems a bit too eager for Martinez and Lysa to have kids, but what Mother does not want to be a grandmother?

Lysa’s father, Kyroll, is a different story. He is a rough and troubled former special forces member who hates anyone other than Aviex, including Martinez.

With hope in his heart, Henry strives to persuade Kyroll to let go of the past that haunts him and the Aviex species, all for his daughter's happiness.
