Like all members of the noble lines, Phaedra grew up knowing the truth about the temples and that Tech was not magic, but living so very far away from the Emerald Mountain she was raised with only basic Tech that those nobles living outside the Court were allowed. She was happy and knew one day she'd marry Kaeden whom she'd love since she was a child. When he finally returned from training on the Emerald Mountain it wasn't to the romantic reunion she had envisioned. Instead she was informed that she was to be the next Frozen Queen, that she would reign for 850 years in perpetual youth while all those whom she loved would grow old and die.
