What choice do I have? There’s no way I can go after my friends all alone on a hostile alien planet. I couldn’t get three steps away from my escape pod without almost becoming a snack for some of the natives.But the lying is starting to really get to me—Dekkar is willing to die for me because of what he thinks I am. I can see it every time I look into his eyes. So the choice is between telling him the truth and going it alone on this unfamiliar planet, or stringing him along and dealing with the consequences later. I literally don’t know if I can live with either of those choices. I think I might have liked it better on the alien slaver’s ship… less

I can handle being abandoned by aliens on a strange new world. But a giant alien warlord who thinks he’s my owner? That’s one straw too many…I was snatched from my bed in the middle of the night and plunked onto a spaceship with a bunch of other women. Okay, I could roll with that. Life back on Earth wasn’t all that special, and I needed a fresh start anyway. Giant, sexy, and as full of himself as a Christmas turkey. He literally thinks he’s the greatest thing on the face of the planet. And we’re supposed to be his pets… That’s just something I can’t deal with, but I’m stuck with him now. And my new alien warlord’s supreme arrogance is about to get us both killed by something even worse than him. less
