“You do know that you don’t have to do this to contact us?” came the demon’s voice as a mist rose in front of him and coalesced into the shape of a man.
Damien bit back a laugh. “I didn’t just want to contact you. I’m here to make another deal.”
The demon raised an eyebrow, “Is saving your daughter not enough for you?”
Damien snarled, “I did this for her!”
The creature laughed. “Of course you did…” Damien wondered if he heard sarcasm in the damned thing’s voice. “What is it that you want now?”
“Immortality,” he responded, eyes glinting. “I want it for me and my daughter.”
The demon laughed, a sickening and somehow haunting sound despite the loud volume. “My, getting greedy now, aren’t we?”
Damien shrugged carelessly and grinned. “I’m still doing what you want. I’m entitled to a little bigger reward.”
The thing smirked. “You’d make an excellent demon,” he said. It closed its eyes, and flickered in and out of Damien’s focus.
Unlike last time, Damien wasn’t nervous; he wasn’t hopping from foot to foot, or chewing on his nails. He knew what he wanted, and he was going to get it.
Ten or so minutes later, the demon opened his eyes, his pupils red and blazing.
“Well then. He agrees. You will get what you want but it will come at a price.”
“Doesn’t it always?” he chuckled. “I will do anything.”
“We need more blood, young blood.
