Four friends are competing on the horse show circuit, hoping for a spot on the Olympic team. There are several conflicts: Bitsy has a crush on Tommy, but she realizes he's not for her; Alex won't let her true feelings for Josh come to the surface. Nothing special, although the book is funny in places, and the atmosphere is authentically horsey. The main problem is Josh, who is disgustingly good-hearted, kind, charming. . . . It's too bad that these heroes are usually perfect, for their perfection ruins the story lines.
