Swirl (Complete Collection) by Lexi Lewis
This is the complete collection of the interracial BWWM Romance series, Swirl.

Reese Abbot has always cared more about the thrill of extreme sports than the accolade. Or indeed even more than his own health sometimes. There are few things better to him than racing down a mountain or flipping his bike over a ramp, and if asked, he’d say that he could easily do it forever. He has plans to reach the top and move from semi-pro to pro, and he has the skill and drive needed to get him there. Of course, all of that is in jeopardy when an accident during a competition leaves him hospitalized while the future of his career hangs in the balance.

Aside from the distressing news about his injuries, the hospital stay introduces him to Evelyn Cooper, a lovely young nurse with a sharp sense of humor who catches Reese’s attention instantly. She’s around his age, raising her kid brother after the death of their mother and the disappearance of their abusive father. She has a lot on her plate as it is, but she is just as taken with Reese, though she worries about her professional integrity, and what her brother will think.

Once Reese is released from the hospital and into his parents’ care, the two of them strike up a tentative romance, though any real effort at seeing where they can go with it is distracted from by the numerous hindrances along the way. Reese’s injuries aren’t as random an accident as they might have appeared, Eve’s father makes an unexpected appearance, people they thought they understood and trusted show sides they never would have thought possible.

It’s not going to be easy to manage a burgeoning romance with all that life seems to want to throw at them, but if they can manage it, they might just have something worth the climb.
