Through Neon Eyes 1-4 by Michael Barnette
Zoner: David Jessman has it all. A great job, a wonderful home and wealth. What he doesnt have is a lover, but thats about to change.... Received a Gaylactic Spectrum Award Nomination for 2003. Originally Zoner appeared in Wired Hard 3 from Circlet Press, which was a Lambda Literary Award Finalist in 2003 in the Anthology category.

Control: David Jessman has found his lover; what hes lacking is control of himself, the situation hes in and the blond gunwhore known to him only as Bells. Bad as that is for a man used to being in charge, hes finding that losing control may not be that terrible after all.

Promise Part One:With his life--and emotions--turned upside down David finds himself unable to concentrate on his work because his mind is just not on his research. His thoughts are on the new experiments hes been part of in his apartment. Experiments that are whetting newfound appetites for things more satisfying than food or money. Research involving his own psyche, and an addiction called Bells.

Promise Part Two: Addictions have their drawbacks, and David Jessman would be the first person to admit hes addicted to the passions hes only felt in the arms of one man: Bells, the LC Zone gunwhore and deadly zonewarrior. Having gotten so wrapped up in his personal life that he forgets to do anything but daydream about a certain blond gunwhore, David Jessman finds himself in serious trouble with his boss. Trouble that Bells promises to make right--somehow
