The Unorthodox Marriage Counselor by Kendall Pearce
“Just ask yourself then…how far would you go? I have just the program that will help you regain your sexuality and self-esteem. I have used it many times and with each case, it has brought success. However, before I disclose the details to you, you must know that it must be kept strictly confidential. Absolutely no one, and I mean, no one, can know of the details to this program. I believe that in time to come, it will become a common method but right now, it is considered an unorthodox method in psychological treatment.” He had stood up and was leaning one arm on his desk while using the other to gesture. Claire’s words rushed from my memory. I was about to find out what saved her marriage. Did I want to know? A knot developed in my throat.

“What is the program?” I was eager yet anxious to know.

“Confidentiality is an utmost importance to me, so much that, I must insist that you sign this form. It states that you agree to remain strictly confidential. If you choose to refuse your signature, then I must refuse to offer it to you.” His words were spoken with great solemnity and resoluteness. Staring him in the eyes, I agreed to sign it.
