Julia's story, "Christmas Fire", is about what happens when smokejumper Toby hits on his boss Eli. He's mortified to find out that the big guy is taken, so when his boss sets him up with Buddy, a local cowboy, he jumps at the idea. Buddy loves the ranch life, but he's lonely. When Toby shows up, Buddy takes the chance and runs with it. He's hoping for a Merry Christmas, but will the universe conspire to douse his fire?
