Pulling out what looked like four leather dog collars, he said, "that's what I was looking for." He held them up to me.

short chain leashes attached.
"They're not dog collars." He took my wrist in his hand and slid one of the leather things on it.
The thing was black and well worn, with two straps and buckles. As he buckled it around my wrist it dawned on me exactly what they were.
