Forced by overwork and ill health, New Yorker Stelios Karamanlis reluctantly takes up residence in the small New England town of Sweet Meadow. Under his brother Theo`s watchful eye Stelios attempts to adjust to a quieter, slower life style. What he does not expect is his growing involvement in the lives of his neighbour Fern Hightower, and her three young daughters.
