Leon strolled over to Micah, reaching down to comb his fingers through the omega's hair. “Good,” he said simply. “If anyone puts this pack at risk, there will be hell to pay.”

There was uncomfortable silence following the words. After all, each member could easily think of a number of times that they had been careless. Unbeknownst to the pack, Sasha, one of their own, was secretly quite involved with a human obsessed with wolves and werewolves.

Leon let them all stew in the silence, wanting them to feel that nervous energy deep down inside since it served to keep them safe (and also made the alpha feel that much more empowered). He had not yet released his hold on Micah's hair, just gazing down at the very pretty male.

Micah gazed up at his leader as he felt the hand gradually shift from his hair and trail down his cheek.

“David! Get a couple of sleeping bags from the shack,” Leon grinned after a moment or two of thought. “And bring them back here by the fire.”

Micah shivered a little, nuzzling his cheek against his alpha's warm hand. The omega had a feeling he knew what was about to unfold.
