Blood Moon Rising III (The Janus Circle Prophecy #3)
Kinsey McClane

End-of-the-world-as-we-know-it prophecy in play: check!
Inconvenient pair-bonding between TWO sets of twins: check!
Family drama, high stakes, slim odds for success: check!
Curvy girl Eva Kaylee doesn’t want to be half-Wolvryn and she certainly doesn’t want the alpha pack leader to be her mate but when her twin sister, Erie, is kidnapped by the alpha’s brother, she has to do what she swore she’d never do — trust her sworn enemy.
L.A. SWAT captain Elijah Kane doesn’t want a half-breed for a mate but he can’t fight his instinct to protect her at all costs, even against his own twin brother, as they race against time to save her sister and the world.
Stakes are high, the risks are higher.
There's no stopping what's coming.
Author’s Note: This is the FINAL installment of a three-part serial and must be read in order. It does NOT end in a cliff-hanger for the primary story.
EXCERPT:
“What do you want?”
Decklin remained silent. Pria was right; he shouldn’t be around Erie. Already he felt himself weakening around her. But she was an arresting sight, even dirty and disheveled, and smelling like something left behind a dumpster to rot, he found her strangely arresting.
“You stink.”
“Yeah, well, the accommodations at Chez Asshole leave much to be desired.”
“I’m happy to hear you are eating now.” Erie cast him a black look. If daggers could fly from her eyes, he’d be pinned like a bug against the wall. “I told you if you didn’t start eating, there would be less pleasant ways to keep you alive,” he reminded her with a shrug. “The witch is pretty inventive. I can only imagine how she compelled you to open that stubborn mouth.”
“Did you have a point for coming down here?” she asked. “Because it’s much easier to plan how I’m going to gut you like a pig when I’m not constantly interrupted by your jabbering.”
He laughed. “Stubborn and sassy. A winning combination under most circumstances. Unfortunately, a waste in your current circumstance.”
She heaved a dramatic sigh. “Blah blah blah. I think I prefer the witch’s company. At least she doesn’t bore me with the sound of her voice.”
Stop this. Don’t engage. He was riding the knife’s edge of reckless and he knew it. But that didn’t stop his feet from dragging him ever closer. Beneath the stench of imprisonment, there was an unmistakably beguiling scent that teased his nostrils.
Erie, her green eyes rimmed with red as if she’d been secretly crying, pricked at his sense of protection and he had to forcibly ignore it. “Our accommodations are not to your liking?” he asked in a deceptively silky tone as he approached the bars of her cell. “I might be able to procure better lodgings…if I thought you might be more…accommodating.”
Her gaze narrowed and she hissed. “I’d rather spend what life I have left eating off this disgusting floor and pissing in a bucket than lower myself to spend a moment of luxury in your company. Am I clear?” She crawled forward, her arms shaking as if it was a struggle to hold up her own weight but she didn’t back down.
