The Feral Alpha by Evelyn Glass
Jay Ward is a captive in the hands of the feral packs

No matter what, he is still a member of the Sentinels. But with every moment he spends around Kristi, the temptation to turn his back on the Sentinels and Goldbridge becomes stronger and stronger.

Kristi Riley needs to convince the others that Jay is with them

She knows the fate that awaits her mate and she must prove--in sight of all the wolves of the pack--that Jay's no longer a Sentinel. To do so means she'll have to prove that he's her mate who'll never betray her.

Their loyalty will be put to the ultimate test

When another raid is announced, the Alpha decides what better way to prove Jay's loyalty than to send him along with the raiders to strike a blow at their hated enemy: the Sentinels. Both Jay and Kristi will find themselves questioning just where their loyalties truly lie: with each other or with the side that fate has placed them on.

EXCERPT

Kristi's gaze darted away as the trees over the path thinned. Unease and uncertainty still faded in and out of her thoughts, but she also felt comforted with Jay's constant presence. She skirted along the shore of the lake until she came to a boulder. She stopped, preparing to undress, when Jay's hands slid up her sides. His body heat sunk into her back and she paused. Excitement nipped at her nerves, leaving tingles to arc over her skin. His hands delved beneath the fabric of her shirt, the callouses rough against her soft flesh.

“It'd be a shame to get clean just to get dirty.” He grinned against her neck.

Her pheromones perfumed the air around them and her breathing hitched, almost imperceptibly. Not to be pigeonholed as an easily flustered damsel, Kristi returned teasing fire. “Good idea; we should check to make sure the alphas don't have more work for us.”

Kristi started to move away from Jay, but his hands closed tightly against her breasts. A pleasant buzz shot across her body. He tugged her closer against his body. Against her ear, Jay murmured, “You know that's not what I meant.”
