Nicholai Royce is an Earth Elemental with an affinity for gems, and he’s on a mission. Paras are a maligned minority, and Nick’s in the sector to look over unclaimed planets that could be suitable for a Para home world. But he’s got a problem—his ship barely reached the station, and he doesn’t have the cash to get it out of dry dock.
