“Come here then,” I said softly, pulling the thin blanket all the way back, revealing my body and Zi’s welted skin curved against it.

Lia’s eyelids fluttered and my heart started pounding at the look in her face. The want.

She will never be full of me, the sudden realization hit me and with it a wave a heat so thick I thought I would choke from it. “Lia.” I said again, desperately, and she rose, sliding the letters in her hand to a pile by the bed, her face locked on mine.

Her hand touched my hip, running across the single welt lining my skin and I hissed, more pain than pleasure but the look in her eye as she traced it…

“The night’s not over,” I whispered and her head lowered to kiss the curve of my waist.
