Laura Baxter has never believed in love at first sight. Instead of dwelling on things that she can’t control, she instead throws herself into her work. She has a Ph.D. but she is reluctant to open her own practice out of fear that she will fall on your face. She’s a true Christian and has never gone against those beliefs, except for one night that she couldn’t control her passions. She meets up with Jackson and she can tell that the weight of the world is on his shoulders. She feels compelled to help him find his way back to his faith and his kids.
