Forsaken By My Amish Father: True Amish Tales
Esther Raber

Befriending the Amish has allowed me to see the private lives of one of the countries most guarded groups of people.
I love the Amish, they are a wonderful people; but they are still people and they share many of the same afflictions, temptations and tragedies as the rest of us Englischers...
Forsaken By My Amish Father is the story of a young, vulnerable family faced with the abandonment of their provider.
When the head of the household takes a hike, the family he leaves behind struggles deeply from social stigma, emotional heartache and the cruel reality of major income loss.
When little Jacob's daddy leaves him and his sisters, he's hit hard. The family struggles and Joseph wrestles with forgiveness.
Where is God when our world spins out of control. Does the all loving creator of the universe care about a little boy and his family?
What will happen to this wounded family, and will Joseph learn to forgive and love or will he become calloused and closed off?
This short, fictional story is based on hearsay amongst my Amish friends and events I've personally witnessed.
If you have a love for the Plain People, you don't want to miss this!
