Just This by Annie Green
It wasn’t my fault. The damn candle just rolled off the table and the curtains caught on fire. It’s not like we purposefully set the college apartments ablaze. So now I’m in this awful predicament: work out things between Madison (my annoying upstairs neighbor and fellow perpetrator) or lose my college apartment. I can’t really afford to do anything else, so I’m stuck with Madison every day in an effort to ‘understand one another’. The whole thing is ridiculous. There is just no way this preppy, snobby girl will ever understand what its like to be me. We live in two different worlds. We were raised on opposite sides of the tracks. She could care less about who I am or what I’ve been through.
Nope. This whole thing is going to hell. I just have to make it through two more months and then hopefully this whole thing will blow over and I never have to see Madison’s face again.
One can only hope...
