Monica Swan thought she was following the Lord’s leading when she found the man of her dreams online and agreed to move to Winter Park, Colorado. She thought she was going to marry him but when she arrived on his doorstep, he wasn’t expecting her! To make matters worse, it was his mom who orchestrated the long-distance relationship while Brent was falling in love with someone else!

After her most recent dating disaster Monica feels wary of Pete’s flirting and friendliness. He’s way too out-going, even though he’s the nicest guy she’s ever met, good looking, and a perfect gentleman. Not to mention he’s Godly and he loves her daughter. Maybe he is her type? When he approaches her with an offer and a plea for help, she can’t refuse.

Pete has been drawn to Monica ever since she came to town and he was secretly glad things didn’t work out with Brent. Now he feels a sense of responsibility for Monica and watches out for her, even though she deflects his advances at every turn. But now he needs her help. His parents want him back in the family corporation and they insist he helps open the new restaurant in Winter Park. When they arrive with Pete’s ex-fiancée, he knows he needs Monica by his side, even if it’s as his temporary girlfriend. In the meantime, he’ll pray the Lord shows him how to make their relationship permanent before Monica gives up on her dreams and goes back home.
