Stolen Years by Barbara Bartholomew
When Rosemary Ferris and Dr. David Kade married in the hard times of the early thirties, they made definite plans for the future. They would spend their lives working together to discover the mysteries of the ancient pueblo ruins of the site they call Casa de Ayer. They would not have children, which would be a distraction, but would devote themselves to each other and to the work that fascinated both. But life followed its own course. Rosemary brought back an infant daughter from the distant past and they conceived a son, leaving them with two children. Rosemary quickly adapts, but David feels the children come between him and his wife. When Rosemary again disappears behind the time barrier with their young daughter, David begins to resent the years stolen from them, even as he obsessively studies his science to try to find a way to reach his beloved.
