However, while on a normal night on the job, she finds herself protecting one of the enemy from one of his own comrades and afterwards she is gripped by a desire to know more about the creatures she’s spent her whole life hunting. Where did they come from? What compelled them to act the way they did? What lurked inside their bestial hearts?

A high-fantasy short-story set in a steampunk world, “Undesirable” follows Adria, a member of a secretive group of hunters that protects the corrupt city of Old Town, an industrial giant supplying the King’s Army with weapons and transport, from Undesirables - creatures belonging to the night, right out of myths and legends. When Inoke is brutally injured by his comrade-in-arms for refusing to kill the huntress, the very woman inadvertently comes to his rescue, leaving the two feeling indebted to the other and some difficult choices…
