Darcy Meadows had loved Nathan Gower since the first day she saw him. Being the gallant gentleman he was he carrying her across the stream, and safely to the other side. It was that simple act of kindness started a friendship that blossomed into romance. It was here on the banks of the stream two friends found that social standing, culture, not even a war would stop their love. They knew love would last always and forever.
