It was my father’s dying wish for his and my mother’s ashes to be scattered in the highlands of his native Scotland. And with a heavy heart, I traveled to the home of my ancestors deep into its thorny green hills and I completed my promise to him. But as I finished scattering my parents remains to the wind, I noticed the opening to a cave, and as I stepped inside, I saw a strange, amber light emanating from inside. As I carefully made my way inside the cavern, I discovered a man dressed in ancient highlander garb, his still body encased in amber light. As I reached down to touch him, the highlander suddenly came alive, his eyes wild.

Soon enough, I discovered that the strange man’s name was Darius and that he had been cursed by a sorceress named Isabel to remain in an eternal slumber, at least until he was awoken by a woman of pure Scottish blood. Darius is unlike any man I have ever met: Strong, brave, and intelligent, my ideal man, and I couldn’t help but fall in love with him.

But along with awakening the love of my life, I also awakened Isabel, and she is coming for me and Darius.
