“What are you doing?”
Sophie startled so badly that she jumped about a foot in the air and yelped with shock. “Oh my God, Julian! Make some noise next time. I think you just took ten years off my life.”
“Oh sure. No problem. Next time I want to catch you pawing through the contents of my desk, I’ll make sure to give you some warning.” Julian leaned against the doorframe and folded his arms over his bare chest.
It was really difficult to be objective about Julian’s trustworthiness when she practically swooned every time she looked at him. He was such a yummy looking guy. Tall, muscular, with dark hair and brilliant blue eyes, Julian looked like he’d just walked out of an underwear ad.
“Sophie?” Julian prodded, lifting his eyebrow.
She surreptitiously shoved the papers back in his drawer and slid it closed. “There’s a perfectly reasonable explanation for this.”
